damn my tent is $150 and sleeps one person-however it does only weigh 3 pounds, straps to my bike, and uses my bike frame instead of poles....

*drool* That's AWESOME!

I knew a lady that had a nice 4-room tent that I don't even want to contemplate the price of.

For me, roughing it is a pad (or a cot if there's known to be lots of nighttime poisonous animals, like rattlesnakes, scorpions, and other stuff I don't want to share a sleeping bag with on a cold desert winter night), sleeping bag and sleeping under the stars. :-D
