I wouldn't have even bothered serving the first woman, because if you bend the rules for one person, you have to bend them for everybody, and then you're up the creek.
    I know, I know.

I was rattled by her ninja skills.

I have since gained +1 Wisdom.

I don't get why people thought that my door being open a tiny tiny squidge so I wouldn't get locked out placing the tables was the same as the doors being WIIIIDE open with the OPEN sign on. Bonus? Our hours are clearly printed on the door, right by where they had to squeeze in.

That's one thing I've learned, if nothing else, from this site... SC's can't read.

Of course, sometimes I think they purposely ignore signs... like the guy who came in the store yesterday trying to sell something, who completely ignored the red and white NO SOLICITORS sign.

Oh, yes, and did you know that handing-out religious pamphlets is NOT solicitation; to the people I get, it's 'the one true word' so it doesn't count!

Funny, 3 or 4 people have had the 'on true word' so far...

Finish with him. Start eating breakfast again. Look up to see an older woman approaching my door, who then turns and walks away. I realize I haven't flipped the Closed sign on the door yet.

          *facepalm*

So Boris walks in to a business with a Closed sign and the lights off (after which I think he was trying to catch moose and squirrel) but older woman is deterred by the Closed sign, even though I'm sitting there a few feet from the front door with the lights on.

          Repeat: *facepalm*
If I were the lady in this story, I would have knocked on the glass, pointed to the sign, and shrugged; then waited for you to indicate that you are indeed open. I might have even explained my confusion - though less so if you're already doing the facepalm/apology thing.

I've had one of Constable Visit's opposite numbers from some church or other come up to me one morning while I was sitting in my car eating breakfast before my shift at the wholesale club. I rolled down the window just enough to find out what was going on, decline a conversation, and she hands over a pamphlet and moves on. I ended up throwing it away.

A couple weeks later, I saw her again. She waved and started to approach, but to her credit, she just waved and walked off when I shook my head at her.
