  • I shake my head at humanity tonigh....

Let me set the scene..we have been closed for over an hour, no lights on in dining room, building lights out, marquee lights out...you know where I am going with this, right? So I am talking to the security guy at the drive window (he picks up our daily cash for us) and a car pulls up behind him, he says "looks like you may have a customer", I in turn said, "probably just an employee", security dude leaves and this car comes to the window, there is an old man driving and a younger man in the front seat, the young man gets out (at this time I am thinking that maybe they needed directions), I ask "what can I do for you?", he says they want to get some food, I told them that we have been closed for an hour now. Seriously, the look on his face was comical! He looked angry and disappointed, I was almost expecting an arguement! Luckily he turned away and I closed and locked the window. I noticed that the security dude pulled around and stopped in the parking lot, nice guy, I think he saw the man get out of the car and was worried about us, I will have to thank him the next time I see him. I just shook my head and wondered what the hell is happening with people these days...seriously are there that many dumb people around?? Oh well, thought you might get a kick out of the story anyways..LOL

Yes, there are. Go rent the movie Idiocracy sometime; it's a prophecy. The human species is getting stupider every day.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

Nah, they're not getting stupider. Society keeps lowering the bar on what passes for intelligence.

        Yes, it does.

That's why I hate handing the keys out after close. Some retail newb always leaves the door unlocked and we get one of those customers that thinks it works like baseball-as long as they touch the register, we have to make their food.

Who the heck even pulls their car up to a place that has no lights on at all? Makes you wonder how many places with lights blazing, music playing and cars going in and out they might have passed by: "Nope, they don't look open. Let's try that place over there that's completely dark."
