A new addition to my "how not to forge a parking permit" hint list shall now have to be added.


- Size matters, and by that, I mean the CORRECT size of the permit. Before you hang up your forgery, take a second and lay it on top of that real one you copied it from. Good. Now, switch their positions and put the real one on top of your fake. Good. Now, if at any time during that experiment, you could see more than one of those permits at a time, you made yours the WRONG SIZE. In your case, it looked to be about 15% undersized. Yes, that may sound like a small number, but trust me, it was not “close enough”.

a) if you pay cash for an item and then return it, you're 'entitled' by law to get cash back, not store credit
b) if someone tells you it's ok to park in a particular place, then you can't be towed even if said person has no authority to give you that permission
