It's been pretty uneventful for me, but there have been a few note worthy stories that have taken place at (insert electronics giant here)
The kids aren't alright
So we had this kid (roughly 17) try and steal a case for his cellphone. He thought he was being really clever by attaching it to his phone and walking out of the store with it.
But as always, the eyes in the sky see all and swift justice did descend upon him in the form of yours truly and the front security door man. Said child was then ushered into the security office with little resistance and promptly searched.
I should at this point make note of the fact that he had two companions with him who were of no bother and perhaps even oblivious to their friend's attempt at theft.
I should also point out that the kid is more or less screwed as whenever theft occurs, the cops are called. We don't pull punches here folks.
Anyway, during the search, a gun is discovered on this kids person. Of course, it was a small little thing that only carried 8mm blanks (essentially a glorified pop gun), but could still be cabable of shooting live ammo were it decided.
So in short, not only was the kids screwed, now he is probably federally screwed.
and all this over a $20 cell phone case.
It's a twister Aunty Em!
We had a very bad storm a day or two ago. Basically it was every stage up to a tornado. Needless to say, we lost power and it rained like I have never seen it rain in this state. When it was all said and done, the wind had been so powerful it had pulled trees out of the ground and a lightpole had fallen in the parking lot (avoiding all cars thankfully)
But I digress, we got sent home early, but not before a few choice SC's decided it would be worth a shot to try and drive up and buy something.
SC (all of them) Did you guys lose power?
Are you guys open?
Well gee, what do you think brainiac, mother nature just bitch slapped us and you want a goddamn lady gaga cd? Go home!
I don't know what is worse, that they were oblivious to what had happened or that they actually tried driving in the weather to get some insignificant item.
And the Darwin award for the day goes to......
