(Before I start, this happened after we locked up, and it started at Rivalbar's parking lot while I was still clocked in. I'm not sure if it counts as something for this board or Sightings, so mods, do what you gotta.)
Saturday night was a massive rush for us. By my estimation, we had roughly... I think about 250 people between both floors at our peak, most of them upstairs. Oddly enough, we haven't even had so much as a complaint about running out of toilet paper, though we had one about a clogged toilet that was handled in minutes.
Eventually, we closed up for the night. Everyone left the bar and headed home safely. I locked the bar's doors and gates, and started helping with cleanup. And that's when the shitstorm started.
While I'm waiting for upstairs to bring its trash downstairs to take out, I notice that there's a small group of people right outside our windows. One guy looked pissed. Not at us, though, but at what looked like a group of people coming from Rivalbar. His buddies were holding him back, and he kept on shouting at the other group. I took a look at his opposition, and noticed that someone I'm going to call Skins for the rest of this story already had his shirt off and was being held in check by his buddies. I also noticed with a WTF look that some of his buddies had our wristbands still on their wrists. Oh fuck. That's the point where I let my coworkers know what's going on, and end up with R, T and I looking at the goings-on.
Not even a minute passes by when the first guy and his friends start walking off. Second guy takes the opportunity to charge at him, knocking him to the ground. Skins's friends pull him off and try to talk him down, while Shirts's helps him up and holds him back also. Of course, this being a fight fueled by booze, the girls get into it also. Long story short, they end up fighting. Not even a few seconds go by and the fight turns into a massive brawl in the middle of the intersection. I lost track of who was on what side, but I did notice that at one point, Skins got knocked on his ass hard enough to send him sliding back a few yards.
Eventually, the brawl dispersed. As we've come to expect from our buddies in PD, they show up just in time to catch one or two of the fighters. One guy's KO'd and in the back of his friend's car, another ends up missing a shoe (somehow), and everyone else is just trying to cool the hell off at this point.
Here's the part that really fucked me up, though: I found out that Skins was part of Rivalbar's door team, and that he has a reputation for letting his temper get the better of him. I'll admit that I'm glad he just ended up with a slight case of road rash on his ass, but still...
