So with that logic, when you go to the store to buy something and get shitty customer service, you won't be right in speaking up or doing something about it.

They said "The customer will never be always right." That means they won't be right all the time. Where do you get that from?

Post #10 dude. I've read that article a long time ago and I was going by that.

In a sign that makes me happy, it hangs in my office for my personal company "The customer is NEVER right."
Crono: sounds like the machine update became a clusterf*ck..
pedersen: No. A clusterf*ck involves at least one pleasurable thing (the orgasm at the end).

Years ago on David Letterman, during one of those bits where they talk to people in the audience, they picked a flight attendant. For some reason they asked her something about passengers, which are pretty much a flight attendant's customers. I will never forget her comment.

          "The passengers...are the enemy."

          About blew Dave over.

The sad thing is that people apparently believe this is some kind of cosmic law, as unquestionable as gravity. For certain they think it is an actual U.S. law, which explains why idiots dial 9-1-1 when they don't get their mcnuggets or something.
I've noticed that too! I hate it when EWs and SCs still say that as if it's the golden rule of retail that we're supposed to abide by, or else.

              Smart flight attendant!
Customers should always be served . . . to the nearest great white.

The customer CAN be right. However, if they are WRONG they are WRONG.

If the customer is always right, then EVERYONE is always right, because EVERYONE is a customer. So, no.

The same customers that preach the "customer is always right" ideology are the same ones who believe that we will be fired if they take their business elsewhere. I am thankful for a manager who basically says "let them go".

The customer may think they're right, but the Gord says, "Door's to the left."

Actually, the quote is incomplete. I saw it on someone's profile years ago.

The full quote is "The customer is always right on my last nerve!"
                        Sometimes life is altered.
Break from the ropes your hands are tied.
                        Uneasy with confrontation.
Won't turn out right. Can't turn out right

I prefer my opinion: Customers should always be served . . . to the nearest great white.

I like the one I heard on the Brittas Empire years ago:

'Remember - Always give the customer
                            Courtesy
                            Respect
                            And
                            Patience.

                            C.R.A.P at all times.'
Engaged to the sweet Mytical He is my Black Dragon (and yes, a good one) strong, protective, the guardian. I am his Silver Dragon, always by his side, shining for him, cherishing him.

You win. But I claim the right for second place!

                                Very gracefully conceded, Kristev!
