I wouldn't have thought this would happen often enough to become a pet peeve, but it has, and now even two days in a row.
If the alarm for the live Blackberry display is going off, please don't just stand there and continue trying to play with the blackberry. I need to get at it to turn the alarm off.
Also, don't look around dumbly asking "What happened, what's going on?" The instant you pull the blackberry off of it's holder the red light on the holder started flashing, an alarm sound went off, and I rushed around my counter to stand next to you saying "Please excuse me" while isolated an odd looking device on my keys. What do you think happened??
Also, when you do finally decide to move so I can make the annoying (and a little painful, I'm rather sensitive to high pitched noises) alarm stop, don't start loudly insisting that you "Didn't even do anything!" Yes, yes you did do something. You pulled the Blackberry off of it's holder. That's the only thing that makes the alarm go off. It didn't go off because it decided it didn't like your face. I'm sure you didn't do anything wrong (recently) or have any intentions to (at that moment) because we really should have a sign warning people not to take them off the holders (like that'd really make a difference) but we don't and I'm not sure why not, but you did do something.
Lastly, after I turn the alarm off and head back to my counter, don't go do the same thing with a different Blackberry.
