  • Theft, Murder, Arson, No MSNBC, and Theft

I posted theft twice because I like theft.

Cookies for reference, though I changed the quote because some members might be sensitive about that.

Appearantly some SC is going to complain to the manager when she found out that we don't carry MSNBC. We're now the "worst Awesome Inn she's stayed at" and that "we'd better have a good breakfast to make up for that."

She called down again and said she's going to complain because:
-Service was bad. (This might be legit. I have severe allergies so I might have come accross as a little short)
-She disagrees with our political philosophy.

Um what? I don't remember EVER discussing politics with her or anyone else! Is it because MSNBC tend to lean towards one side? We have CNN silent on one of our TV's in our lobby, which might lean in a different direction than her personal political views.

So was the breakfast worthy of the lack of MSNBC?

I know that I dislike the very concept (the one you traded out) but Mel Brooks can - or could, anyway - make anything funny.

So I can now complain if I stay at a hotel and they don't have some random channel, because they hate the view that channel may show. No Animal Planet, they hate Animals! No ESPN, they hate Sports!

As best as I can tell, from left to right (politically)
MSNBC, CNN, Headline News, Fox News.

I could be completely mistaken... but if she is upset that you don't have MSNBC when there are at least two others that are neutral to liberal (depending on point of view).

I was gonna say "dodge, dip, duck, dive, and ...dodge" but it seems I'm thinking of the wrong movie.

Is the woman complaining that the hotel's cable package doesn't have msnbc, or that you don't have it playing on one of the lobby tvs?
We've got 3 tvs in lobby. One is set to the weather channel, one plays a looped promo for various local attractions like whale watching, and the 3rd is set to news. Personally, I prefer to put it on BBC world news over cnn or msnbc.

Because the deals the hotel makes with the cable or satellite company are made purely based on political philosophy.

The woman was complaining about not having MSNBC in the room.

I doubt if I'll find out if the breakfast is worth it. Today is my day off!!

Thanks. I wasn't sure where MSNBC fits into the spectrum. I don't pay much attention. It cuts into time I could use for gaming.

Because when you stay at a hotel, there is nothing more important than what news channel you can get on TV and what they serve for breakfast.

The hotel I stayed at last month had terrible TV service. No local chans, no ESPN, no Disney.

So, I decided not to stay there again. Why is that hard? A few days without TV wasn't going to kill me.

I stay in a lot of hotels, because of travel/ training connected with my job. Sure wish more of them carried the Sci-Fi channel (I know, I know: but I refuse to call it 'syfy.').
Who hears all your prayers? Why, the NSA, of course!
