At my store, the hours of the various departments within the store may vary. In the end it all comes down to money, duh. Most are open from opening until 9pm, however some open late and close by 8, etc, depending on the day of the week. This is all conveniently posted in each dept. I was walking near <dept a> when a SC runs up.

SC: doyouknowifanyoneisindepta?
Me: *huh?* I'm sorry I didn't get that.
SC: Do YOU KNOW IF ANYONE IS WORKING IN DEPT A!!!??? I WAS JUT THEIR AND NO ONE WAS AROUND!
Me: Let me check.

I walk over to <dept a> and see the hours, and a sign on the counter saying they will open at say noon and the back room lights are off.

Me: ma'am I just checked and they will open at noon.
SC: when is that?
Me: *looks at watch* Four minutes.
SC: *cat butt face* But, but I called <dept manager> to discuss <issue> with them and they said to come in after noon.
Me: well, they will be in in a few minutes, and can deal with you issue.
SC: I need you to call someone to help me in <dept>.
Me: I can try, but you said you talked with <dept. manger> and that is your best bet.

Just then CW walks by, who on occasion has worked in dept a.
Me: <CW>!
CW: Yes?
Me: SC says they talked to <dept. manger> about <issue> and what to know if you can help them?
CW: Sorry, that <issue> has to be handed by <dept. manager>
SC: No neither of you are going to help me!!!!!!!??? Or get me someone who can!
CW: I;m sorry but you need <dept. manger> as only they have the authority to help you.

Just then DM walks in and CW flags them down.
DM: How can I help you?
SC: I callllllllled yesterday about issue.
DM: Oh, yes. I looked at.....
SC: But I came and noooooooo one was heeeeree and these two wouldn't help me.
DM: well, like I said in the call, a manager needed to get app....
SC: Never mind! It should not be my responsibility to come in when you want to work. You need to be here when I want to be here!

The SC stomped off and left.

I have to admit, I find it annoying when a supermarket is open but the electr4onics department is closed. But I don't throw a fit, I simply come back when they are open.

So, would this twit expect the store to miraculously be open at -- say -- four-thirty in the morning, just because that's when she wants to do her return? Hours of operation may not be convenient for everyone (fracking local municipal dump isn't open for anything but bagged household garbage on Saturdays, and I had a rented trailer full of rotten pressure-treated lumber to dispose of yesterday ) but they are what they are, and bitching and whining isn't going to change that fact.
