    Wha?...

    A couple of women came up with a verizon prepaid card and asked me to put it on their phone. They already seemed impatient so I didn't try to ask if they wanted me to show them how to do it. (I've only had one person out of all the ones I've asked say yes.)

    Me: Sure, I'll get that for you. *gets the number revealed and enters it on the phone, so I'm just waiting for it to finish processing*
    SC: So, do you not have anybody here that knows how to do that?
    Me: (wha?) ...It's... *glances at the phone* It's done, Ma'am.
    SC: Oh. Well, I'll just call it to make sure.
    Me: Ok...but there's a text message from Verizon right here saying it's been put on the phone.

    And as they were leaving one of them told me I was "maaah-velous". couldn't tell for certain if it was sarcasm or not, but I've never heard anyone actually tell someone that before.




    Also had a guy call in later that night. Apparently bought a Virgin mobile phone here a month ago and just noticed that it didn't have a manual.

    Me: I'm sorry, sir, but we don't have anymore of that phone in stock, you can check back in a few days, or check with another walmart, or just bring it back and get your money back.
    SC: So you don't have a manual you can give me?
    Me: No, sir. Since we don't have any of that phone we don't have any manuals.
    SC: Unbelievable! *slams phone down*

    And how would you be able to produce a manual for him to use anyway even if the phone was in stock?

        Yea, treat it like an exchange, only let him keep the original phone. They've done that for a lady who bought a phone that she said had no charger in the package.

          *sigh* All that information on the internet, and almost no one realizes that almost every manual known to man is posted somewhere on it. If I can find the digital manual for a game not printed since `85, I'm fairly sure angry phone dude could have found something for his phone. Yeesh.

            Heaven forbid he look up the manual/pdf online...

            That'd blow his frigging mind.

                Well, not everybody has a home computer. I actually know a lot of people who don't, but they do have cell phones.

                  no, but also, there's about 3 other wal-marts within about a 10 mi radius of us. I'm sure one of them would have the phone in stock. It may be more inconvenient, but it's easier than getting angry about it.
