As I was helping a customer look at a laptop last night I see this little girl who looks familiar.
I suddenly recognize her, I fill with dread, hoping it isn't who I think it is.
I quickly turn to my manager and meet her eyes and almost have a telepathic conversation between the expressions on our faces, her fake grin and nod, my blank dreading stare.
I realize it is her.
It is crazy printer lady's daughter, and that means crazy printer lady is here too. Oh fuck.
As usual she shows up a little before close, I didn't have to deal with her last night but I can predict the exact conversation that would have taken place.
She always asks the same questions about the same printer and laptop and about whether or not it's going to go on sale. She already bought the printer once and returned it three days later unopened, after picking it out based on the serial number of the machine because it was lucky and making my coworker put back two others.
I went to fill in the newer new guy whose only been there a couple weeks about her for next time, and he says he has already had to deal with her but appreciates the warning. He described the conversation as at first they were having a normal conversation then she just stopped being sane.
She is very paranoid will ask the same question over and over again and looks like she is ready to freak out at any time and has been in several times and usually right before close, but never fights to stay later.
She already got that printer half off she isn't going to get it any cheaper, she should have just kept it.
The daughter is perfectly well behaved though, she always just kills time on one of the laptops and never hurts anything, I've never even heard her speak. I think she just tries to stay out of the way to avoid the crazy, we have a few theories on how she's going to turn out.
