This woman comes to the desk this morning to complain about her room. The room in question was an accessible room for people with disabilities. We were sold out last night as well, so that was pretty much the only room available at the time.
(read the following as if you were discussing swimming in raw sewage)
Woman: "I demand to switch rooms immediately! I can't believe you put my husband and I in a room where handicap people sleep! And you had better not charge us for last night either, it's completely unacceptable that we had to stay in a handicap person room!"
Our awesome front desk supervisor charged her anyway as she paid cash and we weren't about to refund her money for that stupidity. The really annoying issue is that it's pretty clear they smoked in the room but there's not enough evidence to prove it so we can charge them the smoking fee and/or throw them out. They're clearly experienced at smoking in hotel rooms as they brought their own cleaning supplies and all the tables and counters are as clean as if the room hadn't been used at all.
They're here again tonight and we will be watching them. My coworker this evening loves busting people and is really good at it. They've done this before but we don't have enough to bust them and put them on the no-rent list. Thanks management for your stupid rules.
The funny thing is, our accessible rooms are generally nicer than the other rooms. They have more walkway space, a larger bathroom, and less wear since they get used less often. I guess there is the fact that those scary handicap people use them...of course those scary handicap people also use the regular rooms as well, but the regular rooms aren't labeled so I suppose that makes the difference.
