The floor manager has vowed that should I ever put in my 2 weeks notice to quit this job, she will immediately remove me from the schedule. In order to prevent any catastrophic blaze of glory.

I hope your manager was joking about that, because I would hate to think they would actually do that.

Sadly, I know many people that has happened to. Not to prevent some lashing out at customers per se, but there are companies that, once an employee--even a long-term, loyal, hardworking employee--gives notice, they company either doesn't schedule them after the notice or actually just fires them. I know too many people this has happened to, and am often shocked by such managerial behavior. I consider myself lucky that this has never happened to me.

Well, that obviously means that you have to put in your notice after your shift for that evening.

I can't imagine any blaze from you would be so unglorious as to not be noticed for any longer.
