A lady asks for a room rate.
Me: $79.99
SC: Is there a discount if I get 2 rooms for 2 nights?
Me: Yes I can drop the room rate down to $69.99 per night per room.
She goes into detail about the number of occupants. I lose track. She then says she needs 1 bed in each room and wants then next door.
I then offer the appartment style suite we have that's $104.99 per night after the discount. It has 2 rooms, one bed in each, and a full living room area with a pullout couch.
Right then and there she starts trying to figure out the maths. After I tell her the apartment would be $210 for the 2 nights before tax and the 2 rooms would be $280 before tax, she still needs to figure this out herself. So I'm on the phone for 5 minutes with a lot of dead air.
