  • [QUICKIE] No, no. That's OK; keep walking.

While I was walking back to the office the other day, I noticed a customer walking with a bottle of water. He had unscrewed the cap, and was holding it up to drink it, when he dropped the cap.

The cap rolled a few feet away. The customer stopped, stared at it for a second, and then he kept on walking.

I ran over to the cap and loudly called out, "That's OK; I'll get it for you." The customer didn't turn around, but a couple of standers-by got a chuckle at his expense.

You sound like a friend of mine, I know he's done similar things several times.

Maybe he didn't want the cap back, considering that floors can be rather icky?

I don't think pbmods was planning to offer the cap back to the customer - I think it was the fact that the customer kept on walking instead of, say, picking the cap up off of the floor and placing it in yonder waste bin.

But, hey, I'm quite the weirdo.
