Does that count as an Act of Terrier-ism?

Weird. I'm 35 and I heard it all too clearly. Made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

Now I'm curious. Hows about a show of hands to see who can hear it and who can't.

At my computer's normal volume, I could just barely hear something. If I hadn't been listening for it, I'd probably not have noticed. At about half-capacity I could hear it clearly. Nasty noise.

              Mid-50's, btw.

I'll be 38 next month, and I could hear it just fine. I kind of wish I couldn't. That made my head hurt.

I'm not surprised, actually. As some people may know, a TV makes a high-pitched hum when it's on, even if the volume is off. From what I've seen throughout my life, some people can hear it, and others can't. I'm one that can. Guess all that loud heavy metal music hasn't ruined me yet.

I was stunned....I couldn't hear a THING, even with my computer's volume maxed out. (I am 36, by the way.) I will have to see if my nieces (16 and 13) can hear it. Interesting.

                      I couldn't hear anything either and I'm 24.

Funny, I can't hear that noise, but I do hear Mongo's "Blank TV noise" from rooms away. But then again, my ears have always had better luck on the low-end of the audible range when tested anyway.

Agh, that was a terrible noise! I'm 26. Does that mean that I'm still really juvenile? Wait, don't answer that....

They played that on a radio show not too long ago and I was able to hear it clearly even though the reception I was getting sucked at the time. Maybe that only works on deaf people?

Oh God. I'm 26 and that noise pierced my brain like a railroad spike. ><

But I can hear that friggan high pitch whine from TVs too. Glad to see I'm not the only one, as no else ever seems to hear it around me. Just me.

I could barely hear it, but I'm on a laptop and there's a dishwater running next to me. It did freak me out. (I'm 19 so I still have good hearing.) If you really want high pitched and bad, listen to Aphex Twin's Ventolin. I've never heard a noise that has made me want to chuck my computer out the window just to make it stop.

A cookie to anyone who knows what ventolin is and the side effects.
