I would think that a few photos would be enough proof of damages.

I keep reading on this site of guests who trash hotel rooms, but I don't understand why these 'guests' are not charged. Heck, most places will charge your CC is you steal a towel, let alone puke on the rug! (or bust down doors!)

Our hotel charges guests for damage that is caused by them. If they amount is over $1000 or we cannot get payment for the damages we file charges. Steal a towel? No big deal. Smash a mirror? If it was an accident no biggie, on purpose? Your gonna pay for it. Cause major damages and throw a party? Hello jail cell.

We did file charges against this a$$hole, and it took 3 cops to get him in handcuffs.

If it's the same 3rd party I'm thinking of, both myself and my brother have had problems with them and expecting us to do stuff that's just not possible. For my brother, they expected his hotel's 5-mile radius shuttle to pick up a guest from the airport. When told no, customer service asked my brother to make an exception.

For me, it was this.

Not that one unfortunatly. It was with Line of Price. Line of Price promised a guest that we would guarantee them a king on a night that we were sold out and were putting people who booked with them in handicapped suites so that we could give the kings out to people who had booked through our hotel and paid a higher rate. Think $129 vs $69. The guest called Line of Price and managed to get a refund after throwing a fit even after we reminded him that he was guaranteed a room not guaranteed his room type. Our management said no, he will pay for his room. It took our GM raising h3ll to get them to pay for the the room.

Line of Price has also told people that we allow under 21, which we don't, that we allow smoking, which we don't, and expected us allow a group of 30 kids to use our pool area for a birthday party after the guest had booked one room which is against hotel policy.

I know alot about the airline ticketing. I wouldn't accept any 3rd party ticket with more than one airline in the booking. But if one company stands out for trouble-plagued tickets, it's Line of Price. Their fares are low, sometimes so low the airline will refuse to give you a seat assignment before you arrive for your flight. Flight overbooked? Mr. L of P ticket, you've just been volunteered for a bump to the next available flight. Mom got hit by a car, and you have to get to her side because only you have the same rare blood type? Sorry, you have a L of P ticket. You have my condolences. Can I interest you in a bereavement fare?

Update:

The a$$hole did show up, as soon as he attempted to check in security was alerted, they called the police, and the a$$hole was detained untill the police showed up. He then proceded to scream NSFW explanitives so loud that they could be heard on the second floor as soon as he saw the 4 squad cars pull up (we had put the police on alert), as he was being arrested he resisted, knocked over a large plant and broke a coffee table.

He is being charged with trespassing, resisting arrest, and destruction of property. And Line
of Price will be getting a nasty phone call later this morning. All in all about $750 worth of damages done this morning. We had people in our bar area applauding as he was escorted out.

Couldn't you bill Line of Price as well? It's all their fault and they were told in advance.

No, unfortunatly he had not officially checked in, only attempeted to. We are filing charges for the damages. So we will see him in court.
