  • Are those tears?

She wasn't exactly sucky, but certainly overreacting. Lady comes in and plops her bag on a breakfast table and frantically searches. As I'm walking by to throw out my pizza box, I notice she's crying. She tells me she lost her room key.
To right the countless wrongs of our days... We shine this light of true redemption, that this place may become as paradise...Oh, what a wonderful world such would be...

uhm...if she is staying there, and there is proof, can a new one not be made?
I can understand the freak out as some hotels don't do that.

There's all sorts of reasons why someone (especially a woman) might be a bit -- high strung -- while staying at a hotel. I can imagine that losing her room key may have been the last in a string of incidents that just didn't go her way. The lost room key may not even have anything to do with the tears. Poor thing.

Now if she went to the desk and blames *them* for her lost key while sobbing, THAT would make her a drama mama.

I'm going to go with it may have been last straw to break the camel's back. We've all had days like that.

Of course, I'm not going to deny that she may have been a drama queen.

It may have been a little of both.

Could have been a drama queen but...

I had one time where I just had the day from heck. And finally I got to the store and went to pay for my stuff and was two dollars short. I lost it and just started to cry...a guy behind me gave over the two bucks and I thanked him a LOT. Made my day from heck not as bad then.

Had a customer not able to afford both the cd and movie they wanted. He just laid his head down on his arms on the counter in a totally defeated pose.

I've had days where I've been so frustrated that the smallest thing would have me in tears.

The worst part is that I know what I'm crying over isn't big enough to be worth crying over, which just makes it worse.
