  • "The gates were down"

This particular older female customer was mind boggling and rude.

She pulls up to the faculty/staff garage entrance gate, which is adjacent to Visitor Parking.

I'm sitting inside the Visitor Parking booth while this is happening. I see the cars behind her backing up. I called the Parking office to let them know that I was going on a break. I raised the 2 gates at the booth, & I went outside. That was when she saw me, & said the following...

"I was told by the Parking office that I need Visitor Parking, to tell the person in the booth, but the gates were down when I came."

I told her that the gates have to be raised to go up. She is frustrated & pissed off at this point.

I go inside the booth to lower the gates.

She manages to back up, turn around, & drive up to the booth, but she enters Visitor Parking before they go down.

So I go inside Visitor Parking. I see her driving around inside the garage, & there are many open spots.

She stops when she sees me & I tell her that it is $5.00 to exit, that I am the attendant inside the booth & that I have to raise the gates for them to go up.

    She then rudely says...

"I know. I am here to see my son. I have a token to exit. How do I park in here?"

I left to go to the bathroom.

Wha?? That worrys me. How can she not know how to use a car park?
I am so SO glad I was not present for this. There would have been an unpleasant duct tape incident. - Joi
