  • I'm sure Mall Security loves me by now ^_^

So, yesterday was the second time in about 2 weeks I've called security to escort a customer out. First time was because she threw something at me. And hit me in the gourd.

Pardon the lack of quotes, but I don't recall the exact dialog.

Yesterday, a customer had his kid up on top of one of the games. Strictly forbidden for very good reason. ((Very good reason being if their dumb a** gets hurt, they'll sue us.))

He tells me he was justified because he was retrieving a ball from another game. I told him that he just needed to call me over and I'd retrieve it, and there is no discussion about the rule of no climbing on the games.

He tells me not to tell him what to do.

I tell him if he doesn't want me to tell him what to do, he can leave the store.

He threatens to punch me in the face.

I tell him to "Get the fuck out. Now."

    He refuses to move.

I call security from my cell. ((Store phone was still in the back office, and I wanted to keep that counter between me and this a**hole.))

He says that if security comes up, he'll punch me in the face.

When I get off the phone with security, he punches my ((still full)) Baja Blast that was sitting on the counter. Which hits me and soaks half the carpet behind the counter.

Yup. Working the arcade is so much fun.

I love adults who throw tantrums! That's just so much fun! And it sets a great example for their children!

Oh, yeah. I almost forgot. The kid was saying I shouldn't call security, thusly "being a pussy".

Nope, I'm not being a coward, I'd just rather not get fired for having to defend myself.

Actually, a verbal threat is only misdemeanor assault. As was the punching of the soda. And I'm not going to press charges. I doubt I'll see him again, anyway.
