L: No! I will sit here and wait for the others to arrive! Then you will see that it is YOU that is mistaken!

I totally heard that in the voice of an 80s cartoon villain.
I was thinking more Boris & Natasha.

      Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Very much so, yes.

Very long answer: How dare you insinuate I am flawed like some mere mortal, you imbecilic cretin, I am the one that pays your wages and deigns to acknowledge your existence and thus validate your entire reason for living, I am as a god to you, and you dare to suggest that I am imperfect in some way, I can bend reality to my whim, you servile, unwashed mass, and I will not stand for this kind of disrespect-- *shot*

I want to know how long these sort of people think it takes for their reality-changing powers to kick in. They all seem to be hoping that TODAY might be the day!

And then it isn't. And they're still wrong. Scuse me while I go laugh in a corner...

Wow. Did she ever find herself wrong out in public at a retail store? How did she handle it? Was she a SC to employees who were wrong?
Oh no. She just did that with us (as in the family). She's always been very civil to retail employees.

I love the part where she sits down with her arms crossed. I can just see her cat butt face.

It was the ultimate cat butt face, with extra fat lip thrown in too!

When they get that stupid I try to turn it around. 'Perhaps they changed the time recently. Would you like to peek in and see if it is your group.'
Of course if they then remain stupid, I can happily mention when the participants greet them " Oh It WAS your group after all. You didn't need to sit out here for 90 minutes waiting for them to arrive. I wish you had checked as I suggested when you arrived.' Said in as sympathetic a tone as I could manufacture!

I went to school with a girl who had moments like these... I loved her dearly, but she could be a bit... confused at times.

One time, she went into the wrong classroom for her next class. There were some 10-15 students already there - scheduled for the class *actually taking place there* - but she was so adamant and so convincing about her being right, and they being wrong, that she managed to get the dozen or so kids to pack up their stuff and move out of the room. It wasn't until their teacher found her entire class milling around in the hallways nearby, and a single girl sitting in their classroom, that my friend could be convinced to look somewhere else for her class.

But she was never a bitch about it. Kinda shows that charm and being friendly go a long way.
You gotta polish a memory like a stone. Chip off the parts that remind you it was just a game. Work it until it's indistinguishable from any other memory.

So was she there for the Can't-Admit-To-Your-Own-Mistakes Anonymous meeting?

Hubris. Sometimes to an extreme level.

Anybody with half a brain would've just gone in to the meeting, apologized for being late (blame the traffic if you must!) and just gone on with life.

Some people cannot function unless they have a contrary world to fight against at every corner, how else do you explain the people who feel that a coffee shop running out of sugar packets is worthy of rage normally reserved for the lead character in an opera?
