This thread reminded me of a time when something similar happened to me. http://www.customerssuck.com/board/s...ad.php?t=76108
Once, a long time ago (maybe three years ago?) I worked the graveyard shift at a gas station/convenience store. One night a woman comes in acting just a little off, I thought she might have been drunk, but I wasn't sure at the time. After I'm done helping the customer before her she walks up to the counter as the other customer leaves. She talked really softly so I leaned forward a little bit and asked her to repeat herself. She tells me that she has a gun, and she wanted all the money in the store.
I told her that I had no idea how to operate the register without making a sale because I was really rattled at her declaration of having a gun. So she walks around the counter, opens the register, takes the money, goes to the other register, tries to open it, fails, and then gets a little money out of the safe. Then she leaves. I instantly grab the phone and call the police. While I'm on the phone to the police a customer comes in, and tries to buy something. When I tell her that I just got robbed, and can't sell anything, she nods and leaves.
Then, before I can get a sign on the window, a guy comes in and gets angry and starts shouting at me when I tell him that I can't sell anything. The police pull up, and the guy gets a
look on his face and leaves. My manager arrives soon after the police, and posts a nice big sign on the door AND locks it.
Right after the police leave, but before we are able to open for business again someone tries to open the door that has the giant closed sign on it. We can hear cussing, and the guy knocks on the door, expecting us to be open even though there is a giant closed sign on the door.
My manager yelled "We're closed!" through the door.
The guy continues to tug on the door for a few minutes then leaves.
The girl who robbed us got caught, then her parents bailed her out. The best part? She tried the same thing on my co worker. My coworker who'd been in the Navy, who was one of the toughest 60 years I knew. He chased her away and got her licence plate number.
