  • Drunk!

At the bar I work at, I am allowed to show somebody the door if they are rude, I can basically tell them off if i want to ... ( I love my job )

Few weeks ago I had a lady to come in .... so drunk i was schocked that she could even walk!

    CS: Vodka&soda
Me: No I am sorry, i dont feel comfortable serving you ...

she walked away....still at the bar, 5 minutes she came back screaming at me ...

CS: HOW DARE YOU TO REFUSE TO SERVE ME! HOW DARE
    YOU!!!
Me: Because you apparently had enough to drink somewhere and drive ..thinking that its after midnight and she came in alone, i doubt she walked...and how many times have i heard that story?)
CS: HOW DARE YOU! iM NOT EVEN DRIVING!!!!!
Me: it doesnt matter if you are driving or not! I m not going to serve you!
CS: AAARGH IM GOING TO CALL LIQUOR CONTROL AND COPS ON YOU TO CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS (thinking wth shes talking about.... , and im sure they both would be happy to hear that i refuse to serve her)
Me: Go ahead, call them, it doesnt change my mind.....( Getting pissed)..
CS: I WILL CALL LIQUOR CONTROL AND I WILL FUCK WITH YOU BITCH!
me: aww how sweet ...bring it on!
CS: I WILL FUCK WITH YOU BITCH , AND GET A REAL FUCKIN ACCENT!!!

That i hate .....yes i m not from the U.S. but can, maybe with some mistakes, communicate without a problem.

Me: theres the front door, there is side dooor, pick one and get the f..k out, NOW!

After some struggling one of the regulars escorted her out ...and guess what, she drove off.....yikes! I was pissed!

So, if she didn't drive there, does that mean she stole someone's car while driving under the influence?

A shame they didn't get her plate so she could be reported.

But then, I'm of a mind that the moment threats are uttered, the cops get called, especially if I suspect someone might have been DUI.

          I strongly second that.

Is there even a such thing as liquor control?

Depends on where you live. We have a liquor control board here. They take care of licenseing and distribution.

I think pretty much every state in the country has some variation of "The Bar/Establishement has the right, if not the legal obligation, to not serve someone who is visibly intoxicated" , and this is how it's been for a while.

Even I know it, and I can count on one hand the number of times I've been served an alcoholic beverage in my life. How it escapes someone who drinks, pretty frequently it looks like, is always a mystery to me.

When they're that drunk, they're not driving the car, just aiming it

A cw told me about an incident a while back where a customer dropped his car off to get serviced, went to a bar by the mall, got hammered, then picked up his car cause he had a spare key and went back to the bar to get more liquored up all while he still owed money on the service we had done on his car.

They called him on his cell and told him he had to return to pay for the service or else we had to contact local enforcement cause it was technically theft. His response in a drunk slur was that he needed someone to pick him up at the bar so he could come back to pay
