My friend has a bluetooth. He mostly uses it in the car but he tends to forget to take it off.

I always laugh at the people wandering around a store, looking like they're talking to themselves. Then they'd come up to the register and I wouldn't know if they're talking to me or not.

I am sometimes guilty of wearing my sunglasses indoors, I admit. But not at night. But my sunglasses are prescription and when I'm just running into a store real quick I sometimes forget to grab my regular glasses. I can't see distance without them too well, and I will get a headache within 5 minutes if I try. But I do usually take them off when I get to the cashier while I'm paying, or if I have to talk to an employee on the floor.

--Hey, on that note, has anyone tried Transitions lenses? I need new glasses and I would like to not have to get 2 pairs. I'm thinking transitions or the ones with the magnetic sunglasses that clip onto the frames--less bulky, at least.

One time at a restuarant, we had the manager called over to our table. He came over wearing sunglasses and proceeded to leave them ON the whole time! And he was the manager!

Unless you are one of those light sensitive people or are legally blind, there's no reason to wear sunglasses like that.
No offense, but how do you know he wasn't light sensitive? I am, and nobody knows it except me and my ophthalmologist

My brother bought some. He says that while they darken really quickly, it's quite a bit slower for them to lighten back to clear. But he loves them anyway All the convenience of two pairs of glasses without ever having to switch

I have not personally tried them, but my brother has them and he loves them. he works construction/home remodels and he is in and out alot. He said he won't go back to anything else after he got those.

I've had Transitions for years now, and I love them. After a while, you really just forget about them-- you just notice that it's bright sunlight and you're not squinting. Then you look over or around them and "Hey, my glasses are dark!"

The only thing to keep in mind is they don't work in a car, because the chemical reaction that causes them to darken is triggered by UV light, which is filtered by your car windows.

That was my one complaint with them. And I mostly need them when I'm driving or inside some other vehicle, as I'm not really into the sun (natural redhead who prefers to keep vampire hours). So I have two pairs of prescription glasses, one regular, one sunglasses.

Thanks guys! I'll have to think about that...I usually wear the sunglasses mostly when I'm driving....

I have some of those and I wear them all the time. Beware of going into a moderately dim area after being in sunlight - your vision is impaired for a while.

Other than that, they're great! I bought them for last year's ski trip, and there was no snow glare at all. Yay!

"I'm EVER so fashionable" people wearing shades. In a mall. At night.
sorry artificial light gives me migraines-they're on my regular glasses(magnetic), and they don't come off unless I'm sleeping or showering-

Natural sunlight blinds me I'm sure that some of those people are wearing the sunglasses because they're photosensitive, and that's no problem. But the lights in our malls aren't exactly bright, they actually try and use natural light more than lightbulbs (it's cheaper).
What gets me, though, is if you go to a dimly lit club (not much in the way of strobes and the like) and you STILL have people wearing shades...There's no light?

I can deal with bluetooth and any other modern conveniences... as long as the SC ends the conversation, song, message, whatever long enough to talk to me. Please, don't hog my office if you aren't ready and fully prepared to be accommodated. You only seem like an ass to me and every person waiting in line behind you.

I used to have those magnetic clip on sunglasses. Pretty quickly, I found out that you can't move your head too quickly, otherwise the sunglasses go whipping off.

If you are mainly going to wear them when driving, then that'd probably not be an issue.

I've now got transitions, and frankly, I love them, except for the whole "don't work inside UV-filtered windows"

I don't think that he was. I'd seen him in the restaurant several times before without sunglasses and this particular encounter happened on a rather warm July afternoon. I could be wrong though.

Ill admit Im guilty about the Bluetooth thing. I like it, I use it, cant help it. What I cant stand is when people YELL into their bluetooth. I dont wanna hear about someone's baby's daddy's uncle who's been run over by a cat (or some BS like that.)

I just bought a new phone, and it comes with headphones since it can play mp3's, and I like using those more than my Bluetooth because I can hear better. So, Im guilty of the headphone thing as well.

As for sunglasses, my best friend's boyfriend is guilty of the sunglasses thing. Both her current and ex are. Her current boyfriend doesnt like to wear contacts (or normal glasses) so he wears perscription sunglasses a lot. He just has different shades he puts on. Her ex wears sunglasses ALOT. Hes pretty blind too, but he wears contacts and sunglasses, indoors. His eyes are pretty sensitive to bright light, so thats why he wears his all the time.
