I was helping a customer when a SC barges up and demands help NOW!

M: ma'am I will be with you when I finish with this customer.
SC: *sigh* Fiiiine!

I finish up with the first customer, at most 90 seconds later and go to help the SC.

M: Sorry for the wait, how can I help you?
SC: Do you have any of the , you know, longish things in the bag?

I ask the SC some questions to figure out what they want.

M: Unfortunately that is out of stock right now. The manufacture has advised us they had a problem and it will not be coming until late next week.
SC: You know what! You're rude! You make me wait in line, have no F***ing clue what you are talking about that would you get a clue you don' have it. I'm telling you you boss and getting you fired!

The SC stomps off and I tells the MOD. The SC then tell the MOD, conveniently forgetting to mention the other customer was first part. They demand that MOD fire me, give them a gift card and then resign for hiring "rude incompetent and lazy" employees. They left sans GC and even more pissed when MOD refused to fire people and the resign.

Wow, lots of SC's demand the posting employee be fired, but this is a first AFAIK, to demand the manager resign for hiring said employee. I nominate for Queen of the EW's. Probably books rentals at Dave's resort.

People are feeling more powerless and stupid nowadays, so the truly awful people are getting worse, because they think they can.
At least op's mod is possessed of a spine. And faculties of reason and charm.

if I was MOD I would have told the SC I would happily fire you and commit Seppuku if that would actually solve the problem but alas, Sc probably would have a problem with the amount of death moans.

Yeah, asking the manager to quit his job just as soon as he/she does what the SC wants... that's guaranteed to get results.
