One lady comes in every once in a great while with a pocketful of change to buy whatever menu item she can afford and a free water cup. I'm fairly certain she's poor or homeless or both. She always has the same clothes on, doesn't seem to shower often, and always comes at night when no one else is there. However, she is a very nice lady who always cleans up her mess, follows the rules better than most customers, and always asks my permission before taking anything (even if it's a cup lid or the free sauce pakets that most customers take handfuls of). I always give her a larger drink cup and tell her she can get whatever she wants to drink. Even with a green light to get free pop, she comes over to me and shows me her lid-less cup full of water. So all in all, she's a nice, honest women.
Enter jerky man.
He orders some food to go and decides to fill up his pop while i'm over there stocking cup lids.
JM: Disgraceful isn't it?
Me: Pardon?
JM: *motions towards the lady eating her taco* Her. I bet you wish you could just kick people like that out, don't you. I bet good money she leaves here with a cup full of pop and her pockets full of stuff.
Me: Actually, I would never think of kicking her out.
JM:
Me: She's a nice lady who never steals anything, cleans up her messes and is always polite and honest.
JM: Well you don't even know her!
Me: No offense sir, but neither do you...
At this point he no longer wanted to talk to me like a gossiping school girl, and instead stood at the counter acting like I just called him a nasty name. I payed him no mind though because I was too ticked off to care
