Oh Uscan, how I hate thee. Well really, how I hate the customers that come on it. And to add to that one of the machines has an issue with the scanner scale that I keep having to reset it over and over.
I'm back and even worse now!
This first story involves the man in the 3rd story on my original Uscan asshatery thread seen here: http://www.customerssuck.com/board/s...ad.php?t=77985
The man this time walking instead of in the motorized cart (hmm...) comes up to me and yells out "You there! Do this for me!" I put his items to the side of the machine and then hit the start button. As I'm doing this, he yells at me to make sure that the price of the milk he has is $2.16. Not two seconds later, he does it again. I tell him I will scan it and then he'll know. It was $2.16, praise the lord! (Yeah, our store brand milk prices have gotten odd like that for some reason). He also had two things, one of which was on sale, so I ask him to scan his store card. Instead, he looks at the screen and shouts that he can't see the price. I ask him if he has his card, but instead of answering me he again says he can't see the price. I tell him that the bologna is on sale with the card and now he shouts so that everyone can hear "I can't see the f**king price!" Finally, I just put the house card in, go to the payment screen, take the cash, and send this either crazy or thinks he can do these things and act like this because he's old man away.
Yes, you have to walk a whole foot and a half
A woman comes up to the Uscan and says that she wants a pack of cigarettes with her order. I ask her if she's paying by check (my store will only let customers who are paying by check buy cigarettes with their order because we have to see ID on all checks but not on anything else with little exception). She says no, and I tell her you need to pay by check to get cigarettes with the order. Her response? "You mean I have to walk all the way over there to get them?!" Yes, you need to walk the whole foot and a half to the customer service desk from the Uscan
I was talking on the phone and not paying attention, but I blame everything on you!
A woman came to the Uscan with the stupid scale problem. It gave the warning about taking everything off the scale to begin and she was about to go another one but I said I would fix it for her and hopefully it won't do that again because I saw another person was about to use the one she was shifting to. She said if anything else goes wrong she will destroy this thing (uh huh). Luckily, nothing else went wrong so I won't find out. However, like so many others, she was talking on her phone the whole time. She scanned her things, paid, and then the next person started. This lady though put her bags back down on the bag scale because she decided to look at her receipt to make sure that she got a sale. Doing this makes the Uscan stop able to scan items because weight is being added. So I ask her to please take her bags off because the person there now can't do her order with them there. She yells that I'm rushing her and she was just checking to see if she got the sale. This is something that could've been looked at on the Uscan screen before you paid, you know! With all this, she forgot to take her change. The woman after her noticed it and handed it to me, so I took it and put it in my till. A minute or so later, she comes back and says that she forgot her change. I open up the draw and give it to her. Quiz time: What does she do after?
A. Thanks me and leaves
B. Takes money and says nothing
C. Takes money and then says it's my fault she left it because I rushed her
Correct answer here is C. I tell her that I just needed her to take the bags off there and it wasn't a big deal. As she leaves she yells out "if you do that to me again I'm gonna report you!" Yeah, you do that. Next time stay off the phone and pay attention to what you're doing psycho.
These people combined with the scanner scale thing and the usual Uscan brain burps and people not waiting for additional sale prices to come off, not readng limits, or understanding proper coupon use when we have 1 day sales and 1 day only coupons made this day particularly annoying.
