  • I'm sorry, you WANT to work here?

A story about, Sucky customer Potential Coworker

We have a girl who really really wants to work at our store, comes in all the time asking if we are hiring and only wants out location none of the others that the recruiting department hires for in the area. However, even without having an interview yet she was pretty demanding that we bend to her will because of ANOTHER JOB and the hours she has to work there, I'm sorry but when we need you X to Y hrs, don't tell us it has to be X + 4 before you even get a job. Believe me I informed boss of situation because we already have a drama queen who got hired and was supposed to do TWO specific days a week that is why she was hired, well she wasn't available for one of them.

SO at some point recently SCPC had an interview, I guess it went alright (according to her, recruiting won't/can't talk)

THEN, the other day SCPC really annoyed me on the customer front, as we just had our butts handed too us for about 45min straight we had lines and couldn't dream of walking off register to make coffee, or even take a drink. but SCPC comes in when it is almost over and when we were all clear, I just started to relax made a grab for a drink and I get told by SCPC, "You know the counter is dirty over there, and this isn't where it is supposed to be, and why is the floor not mopped"...... I'm SORRY WHAT THE .... You sure as hell are not my boss and you don't even work here, you want a damn job Keep your mouth shut and quit pissing the people you want to work with off.

Am I wrong in thinking that if this girl is causing this much drama before getting hired, she gonna drive us up the wall once she is in? and just because you used to be management somewhere, don't mean shit to me.
I'm sorry reading is not a new concept it has been widely taught in our nation for at least the past 100 years. Please, learn to do it CORRECTLY before you become contagious.

Oh, it sounds like she's going to be in for a rude awakening if she manages to get the job. Everything she's pulled on the people like you who work there now, she's going to get pulled back on her, and I bet you she whines and moans about it too. I'm crossing my fingers that whoever interviewed her had the same opinion of her as you do and they are gonna send her one of those "so sorry" letters
"I was only LOOKING, I didn't mean to enter my card's CVV and actually ORDER! REFUND ME RIGHT NOW!!"

If (and it sounds like a very big IF, unless your store is desperate) she gets the job, I guarantee she won't last long doing it. She'll whine and bitch about how hard it is, and not do her work. That or she',ll cop a drama queen attitude when she has non-stop customers for 45 minutes straight like you were talking about. Either way...She may as well just walk out the door as quickly as she walks in it, IF (again, big IF the way she's going already) she gets hired.

Getting an interview is one thing, actually being hired is another. Just because the interview went well doesn't mean she got the job. I don't think she'll be hired. You can do the happy dance now...lol.

I wouldn't count on her getting a job at your store with a crappy attitude like that.

I wonder if she's being such a bitch because she didn't get hired... kinda like her own version of petty revenge?

i don't see her getting hired, either, and on the (way) off chance she does, she won't last a full shift-she'll quit during training.

We have certain customers at my store who have expressed interest in working there, but due to their personality, behavior, etc. there is NO way they'd ever get a job.

What does it say about me that I saw SCPC but read SCP, and assumed that she was some kind of Keter-class threat?

That said, yeah, I can see her getting an interview, if only to shut her up, and then not being hired.

Well, we currently are VERY hard up for people. Something odd that happens when you actually get around to firing of some the leaches you work with. You know the people who show up stand there collect a paycheck and don't really do much work. Of course that, was only because someone decided to call off. 3hours AFTER their shift began, and you can only keep putting "Final" on someones write up so many times until you fire them for real.

And actually, SCPC is smart enough to keep up the dog and pony show in front of the manager, although she been coming around a lot more for pointless things, I think to try and get in with us workers so if asked we can be like OH yeah, she a good person hire her.... I mean not the worst idea if done properly and well, maneuver failed when dealing with a few of us.

I see one hilarious outcome, SCPC comes in, gets hired pisses me and a few others off, we walk, shit gets real, she quits because the job sucks when you have almost nobody left who knows what is going on, and now the boss gets to train a whole new staff..... WOOOOOT

I saw someone I was acquainted with in a stack of applications (back in the paper days). I knew this kid was damaged goods (bad acid or so the story goes, IDK) and I told my store manager not to hire him.

I think she hired him just to spite me. At least she had decency to apologize to me and tell me she should have listened to me when she fired him less than two weeks later.

If this girl gets hired may she have just as speedy a departure as damaged good had.

Great minds think alike, as now it turns out she is now my co-worker. Have another employee I have been being an ass to after she been talking bad about me. The things I have in store for the SC will make my attempts to bother our sticky fingered thief CW look like compliments.

SCPC is now, Sucky customer turned Coworker, who visited yesterday, I was outside doing my job come in to a line of maybe 4 people, was gonna help out CW, then I got FURIOUS when SC now CW tells me that CW has a line and that I need to help him..... I'm sorry WHO THE HELL ARE YOU???? YOUR NOT WORKING YOU HAVE NEVER WORKED HERE, YOU AREN'T MY DAMN BOSS. I mean seriously, I am not blind and just because you USED to be management somewhere don't mean shit to me girly.

Current battle plan is if me and other CWs don't set her in her place, or get her to quit, I'll quit on my employment anniversary and enjoy the summer
