  • You don't screw your friends and you don't screw my charity!

B/G: When we take phone donations made in memory or in honor of someone, we send out the memorial card or tribute card asap, even though we only run the credit cards 3x per week.
We also receive donations made by groups (Friends at work, etc.) and usually made by one of the individuals on their credit card after the others in the group have givien her/him their shares. end B/G.
One of my co-workers took such a donation in mid-May and sent out the memorial card that day. The card was signed as per the "donor" by the whole dept. in this company in memory of one of their co-worker's mothers.
The next day, when I was running the credit cards this one came up as "Invalid".
I tried calling the credit card holder at the work number she gave us, got her voice mail, and left a message. 1 week goes by, no reply. I call again, leave another vm. Still no response. This time I wait 2 weeks and try again. Still no response.
Then I look up the company main number and ask for the manager. I get her on the phone and I ask if *Card Holder* is still with the company. She says, yes and that *card holder" is standing right next to her and hands her the phone. *card holder* tells me she has to go into a meeting but she will call me as soon as the meeting is over. 2 more weeks go by! I've gotten tired of this and I don't like being screwed around with. So then, I figure all bets are off. I call again and ask for the manager. This time I tell HER "I've been trying to get in touch with *card holder* for 2+ months regarding the donation THE DEPARTMENT made in memory of co-workers mother, for which we sent out the memorial card to their co-worker but that we have not been able to process the donation *Card Holder* submitted and we need to do this asap so that we can send *card holder* the receipt so she can show that the donation was made." :-)
Suprise! *Card holder* called an hour later and gave us the correct credit card number and I processed it right then and there.

wow, what a douche. She pays in name of the company and then doesn't pay? I'm glad you got a manager.
Time! Time! Time is what turns kittens into cats.

Don't teach me a lesson; all I learn is that you are an asshole.

    I wish porn had subtitles.

The next day you should call the company back.

      "Hey, is *card holder* there?"
"No, she's no longer with the company."
Fiancee: We're going to need to do laundry. I'm out of clean pants.
Me: Sounds like a job for Gravekeeper!
      Fiancee: What?!
      Me: Nevermind.
