iPad display =/= daycare

Apparently a customer thought the iPad display was just that, a play pen.

Two children, roughly under 8 I think (but I could be wrong) were playing with them, sitting on the floor... and although there were adults in the store, none of them were near the children, or even looking at them, so... I had no idea who was watching them.

So I went to the guy manning the cameras and let him know about them. He moved the camera view to the kids and saw what I did and said he'd take care of it.

On the way to the restroom I passed another worker (one with a radio) who was looking at the kids with a "WTF?" look and told him that I'd notified the security camera guy already.



I don't know if anyone spoke to the parents / guardians but... when I came out of the restroom an adult was escorting the little girl inside, and the boy was still playing by himself.

"oh, shiney thing will keep an eye out on my kids!" I swear, it's like no parent today heard of Adam Walsh. Granted, Adam was kicked out of the store, but any pervert would keep an eye out on a kid and find a way to get them to come with them.

Pervert: oh, hey kid, you are not suppose to play with that. Let me take you to a special place where you can play with an Ipad all you want."

some people should not be parents. Put a kid with an iPod or iPad display and it will keep an eye on your kid for you. keep em' occupied when parents do shopping. But this is what I have seen happen. Store workers do not watch the kids. not their job. Kid gets bored and leaves, Parent yells at worker for not watching their kid. Or, Parent finally picks up kid, the kid wants the iPad or iPod and throws a fit to end all fits when they are told no. Parent gets mad at worker for having display out in the open/. UHhh yeah. How can people know if they want the device or not if there isn't a display out? And plus isn't it the PARENTS' job to watch thier kids?
