As soon as I came in today, I had to go on Uscan and the person there went on a register because my register had to be counted and wasn't yet ready to use. When I get on there, an older woman comes up and questions "Excuse me but aren't you going to open up anymore cashiers?! People are waiting!" There was a collection of people waiting to be rung up but nothing too big. I tell her that two registers are about to open.
Later on, she comes up to me again and shows me her receipt and says she wants to "review something" she points out the cherries she bought and asks "I paid $11 for cherries?!?" Well, no... she didn't. The cherries in my store this week are on sale for $2.49 a pound. The $11 something was the price for the regular price which is $4.99 a pound. Our receipt shows the cherries coming off for $3.99 a pound and then another discount to make them ultimately $2.49 a pound. Stupid and a bit confusing yes, but all discounts on the receipt are in bold so it is clear to see them. But after I explained this, the woman obviously didn't listen because "$11 for cherries?! This store is nuts! It's summer time there's no way cherries could be $11!" So I explained the discounts coming off to her again and she just said "Well, OK" and gave this look like I had told her nothing but lies.
