  • POISON!!!11!ELEVENTY

Howdy howdy, yet another story from the delightful coffee place where a DELICIOUS young gentleman was fired due to his song/rant.

It's the morning and we have a...'touched' woman come into our lobby. Now, there are quite a few descriptors of her that I could use that would probably lead to Fratching convos, but the simplest way to put it would be a couple shreds of info I've heard:
-She's been banned from 2 other stores for attempting to evangelize customers and staff very persistently
-She's shared that due to her personal convictions (not even a part of her religion in general) every time she goes to (insert our store chain here) she has to cut off a lock of her hair in penance.
-The very first time I had to deal with her my supervisor came over the headset and warned me she was a nutcase since I was in NO mood to deal with idiot customers that morning.

So, with that out of the way, you will be able to appreciate the coming insanity ^_^.

It's morning, and since it's autumn, part of the school year,. and we have our (apparently) super-mega-crack pumpkin drink out, we're BUSY. I'm making drinks with another guy and resident nutcase comes in. She gets an iced coffee. Our store manager is the one who rings her up, and all seems well for about half an hour. She comes back and decides to talk to me about...I'm actually not sure since in my right ear I'm hearing drive-thru orders and my left ear is hearing nothing but the loud whir of the espresso machine. All I hear from her is, "There's this weird flavor..." It is at this time I'm happy that, for WHATEVER reason I seem to appear...unapproachable in the mornings, because all I do is look up and (as was relayed to me by my bar partner later) give her my patented "Bitch! Not now!" look.

"Oh...uh...I'll tell him." And off she goes to tell my manager who is not only not waiting on customers but the one to make her drink anyways (the person doing lobby register is responsible for getting hot coffee for their customers and iced coffee/tea if there's no one else in line). I don't get to personally hear too much of the conversation, but do catch my manager saying, "Oh no, I actually drink the iced coffee myself, so...yeah."

About 15 minutes later when there's a break he tells us all, "So...yeah. We just got accused of trying to poison the crazy lady." As it turns out she says that the drink tasted different than usual (I don't fully buy it, but even it is true there are, literally, DOZENS of reasons coffee tastes different) and that it obviously meant we were poisoning her. Quote: "I guess I can understand if you don't want me here, but you don't have to try to kill me to get me to leave." /sigh. Trust me, thanks to me every person at my store is too intelligent to try to poison customers. Too easy to trace , but I do hope that she doesn't come back. From what I've heard there's only far more strange and awkward behavior to be had if she stays....

    BONUS STORY

So, speaking of odd people in the morning, it would appear that the girls in the store have either been excreting some kind of creeper hormone, or the creepers int eh neighborhood/city have been UNUSUALLY attracted to our store lately. One of my best friends and I are working the bar in the morning, and during a slow period a "gentleman" whom we kindly refer to as "that creepy dude in the morning with the ponytail" (nothing against ponytails, mind you, I had one till two weeks ago) decided that she was the prettiest thing on the planet and he just HAD to find a way to make her his.

    With jokes about abusing women.

Yeah, not things you would tell ANYONE regardless of gender, DEF something you don't tell a woman you're trying to impress, and MOST ASSUREDLY not something you tell a woman you're trying to impress who's a feminist who's worked with battered women and who EVERYONE will look the other way and count to 30 if she decides to jump this counter and turn your face inside out. For the sake of her job she decided not to do this (damn companies that will, most likely, let customers get away with actual murder), but..yeah...none of us would've stopped her. Thankfully he probably got the hint from her glare and has yet to make any further attempts or "jokes".

If I saw Crazy Lady come in again, I'd be half tempted to mumble something to a co-worker about the secret arsenic supply running low. If she's going to worry about being poisoned, may as well give her something to think about.

And yeahhh...not sure whose dating advice Mr. Smooth follows, but typically making jokes about abusing women will not impress most women. Bet he's got chicks breaking his door down.

I sure hope Creepy Dude got the unspoken message...and that if he hasn't, he learns it really quick. I feel sorry for your female coworker.

As for poison lady...wow...that's a new one on me. Sure, lots of SCs have accused places of poisoning them, but to politely say if you wanted to get rid of her you just had to say so instead of attempting to kill her with tainted coffee??? Life just gets stranger every day...

Well, this is the lady who has to cut off a lock of her hair in penance everytime she comes into your store ... obviously that hasn't stopped her yet ... (wonder whether she will either stop "sinning" at some point or eventually show up bald as the proverbial billiard ball).

As to the guy ... ugh. "So, you're not married yet, eh? Well, I can certainly see why."

Many businesses today are selling poison in their food. It enrages people to no end and they often end up yelling at the staff and what not. Yep, this poison in the food is more common than you think.
It comes with its own word as well.
          "Healthy"
(Iced Coffee isn't excatly healthy, but its not unhealthy either...)

          As for flirt guy...
Just get a male co-worker that looks like a girl from behind to serve him. The look on their faces is priceless.

Is it just me who gets the urge to advise on potential poisons?
            Seshat's self-help guide:
            1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
            2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
            3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
            4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.

Yeeeeeah, I've actually been studying poisons and torture since 4th grade, so if anyone were to know how to take care of her, it would be me. But, as I said, would never actually do it as after years of study and having a conversation with a local forensic investigator, I feel it's too easy to trace :P

Oh! Forgot a very...interesting part about Casanova: Apparently (according to him) he heard the jokes from his ex-wife who is now in jail. Most of our customers are just one big question ball that, thanks to corporate, we will NEVER be able to be rid of.
