    Oh god YES!
I feel your pain. I am all for respecting all people, but I have to say that older people are often the absolute WORST customers I get

The olnes I'm talking abut, they call in and right off the bat, are rude, talk over me, are condescending...all the while going on about how 'you young people these days have no respect for your elders! You should be ashamed!'

In most cases, all I've done is tell them that they have reached their limit on a service, or they need to send a different receipt etc etc - just a fact that is the same for everyone. But nooooo, if I dare say to an older person they have reached their limit, I better prepare myself:
"What! You bloody young people these days, you have no idea!"
    "Sir I apologise but...."
    *talks over me*
"No, NO, you SHUT UP, you're a DISGRACE, you are uneducated and have no clue about anything!"
"Okay sir, I understand youre frustrated but the limit is the same for all customers, and..."
    *talks over me again*
"You're nothing more than a rude b8tch with no respect for your elders!"

    Ah-huh
    Hypocritical old f*ck
Turning a certain age doesn't give you a license to suddenly become rude and condesending

Your post was exactly how I feel

I have so much stuff in my wallet now that I don't need or want another license for anything.

I have a feeling it had to be with the cables but the guy hung up after he finished all his ranting and raving...and it was over a freakin' hour I was on the phone with him! He barely tried to troubleshoot and kept carrying on about how he was technologically challenged (and I was breaking it down to him pre-k style..without being patronizing!)
$10 bucks that he was trying to watch the microwave.
