  • SECURITY!

I was at the desk, and I hear loud angry voices coming from the hall directly in front of me. So I watch, and two guys, at least one obviously intoxicated, coming down. I was hoping that they would just go out the front door and leave.

However, when the drunk guy pushed the other against the wall, and held him there, I went for the bar's security staff. Three of them come out, and try to seperate them, but these guys are BOTH pretending like they don't exist. The Head of Security actually asked if they could hear him, at one point (I heard, and I was 20 feet away).

Then the drunk guy pushed the other guy again, and the security guys started physically escorting them two different exits. While the other guy had 2 security guys escort him away, the HOS took the drunk guy.

The drunk guy on the other hand, wanted to keep arguing, and was a little too much for HOS, so he asked me to get some help from the 4th security guy.

I went to the bar and said "(HOS) needs help." and #4 came out with the male bartender, and they finally got the situation calmed down.

Just another day at the hotel.

UPDATE: Just when I thought it was over. Apparently the drunk guy lost his phone, and belived it was in another guest's room. He decided to go bang on the door (and all the other ones in the hall). Security had to restrain him.

Ben, one of the security guys said Phil (another SG) told him to get the main room key so they could get in there. I then had HOS call to see who was in that room, and said "I'm getting int here one way or another." I was not comfortable with that, so I woke up the GM (who lives on property) and explained the situation, to make sure I had him to back me upon this (which he did).

GM went out to check, and helped calm the situation. At some point someone called the police.

Drunk Guy is arrested and will spend the weekend in jail.
Other Guy is in his room.
Security finally leaves at 4:45am (usually out by 3:30am)
GM takes over for me @ 8am.

    Doesn't this sound like fun?

Been there and done that. When I worked night audit we constantly had to deal with the drunk fools. One guy decided he needed to find his friend's room but the only problem was he was too drunk to give us a last name. His solution? He decided to go pound on random doors in the wild hope that he would somehow find the proper room. We had security escort him down off of the floors twice. We called the cops and they arrived just in time to arrest him at the end of our driveway for DUI. I actually had to go to court and testify against this loser.
