Ok, though it was funny..this was one major sc. Took an hour (yes 60 minutes) to solve the issue. A five minute (at most) problem..and because of lack of understanding simple concepts, took 60 minutes (surprisingly management actually told me good job on this one, instead of bugging me about keeping calls under 10 minutes..one of them listened in to the call (when it goes over a certain time they tend to do that). Here is a bit of the background.
Customer orders a item. Calls in because some items are missing (this is important).
So I look up the item, and it only comes with earbuds..simple I can easily get those back out to the customer..customer claims there should be a charger/usb cable/case/and screen protectors. I try to explain that I am looking at what is supposed to be included, but it was like explaining to a brick wall why it should not be standing where it was standing. Finally able to convince the customer that these items are not part of the purchase..they want to order the extra items. Only they want a guarantee that the items will arrive by christmas. Of course without paying anything extra for faster shipping.
M - Sir, I can not do that. Had these items been part of the package I could, but without paying the extra shipping, I can not guarantee a Christmas delivery.
SC - You should. These things should be included in the purchase. So do the best you can to do this.
(Note the charger is almost $250 so there is no way that it would have been included regardless)
So we go back and forth for a bit, and finally get the order placed..without a christmas delivery guarantee. Why do SC's always fail to read?!
