      Oh you CAN fix stupid, sadly it usually means life without the possibility of parole
      Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.

          As a pre-nursing student (working on my BSN) who is very much overweight, this issue is something that I am personally concered about. I have struggled with my weight all my life and past medications and health problems (both of which are no longer part of the picture) have left me with many pounds to lose. I am actively trying to shed as many pounds before completeing the pre-nursing part of the program as possible so that I don't have problems that are related to my weight once I enter the actual nursing program and begin doing clinicals.

            You won't be the only overweight student, I'll wager. Losing the weight will be good for you health wise since nursing is very demanding physically. You may have to use care maneuvering around patient rooms.

            But you can't be discriminated against for it as long as you are physically able to perform your job duties.
            They say that God only gives us what we can handle. Apparently, God thinks I'm a bad ass.
