“Four piece dinner”
“Ok”
I look around, no gloves nearby, so I reach under the breader table and pull out a new box. I walk up to the front, and open up the new box in front of the customer, put one on each hand, and get the chicken.
“—AH!”
“?!”
“Use the tongs!”
…I grab the tongs, which visibly have crap encrusted on them from puncturing potato wedges and the like.. and grab his chicken. He’s happy.
What mindset is that? Fresh-from-the-box gloves are bad, while an old pair of tongs that have been up there for god knows how long are better? I can understand if I walked up to him with the gloves on, but he saw me open up a new box of gloves and put them on.
