    sc = sucky customer

    I'm answering phones.
    sc: someone called me from your library telling me my book is ready to be picked-up. Before I go out in this awful rain, can you tell me which book it is?
    me: one moment, it will take me a while. You should have called Circulation.
    me: *checks* ok, it's Blue-eyed lady.
    sc: ok. Now, I did call circulation and got you.
    me: ok, did you press 1 or 3 at the recording.
    sc: I dialed the number behind my card.
    me: did you press 1 or 3.
    sc: yes.
    me: which one was it?
    sc: I told you!
    me: no you didn't (though honestly, I should have phrased it better)
    sc: I told you 1! fuck you bitch!!!! *hangs-up*
    me: you too.

    Here record had this note: 10/17/11 PATRON WAS UPSET BECAUSE CANNOT HAVE SIX WEEKS CHECKOUT FOR BOOK TITLE BACK ON BEYOND /SHE WOULD NEVER COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION ANYMORE/ SHE SAID SHE WILL CALL THE MAYOR/ BUT THE BOOKS HAD TWO HOLDS ON IT/ SORRY I CANNOT DO IT POSTED @ CEN /ZZZ

      oh, fixed the last two lines of the phone call. And I accidently removed a hold she was waiting on. I would put it back in her queue but I forgot the name of the book.

        Reserve The Hunger Games for her. At my library, there are 629 reserves for it.

        Unless she wants fifty Shades of Grey. that should clean her clock. (-:

          My local library system now has almost 50 copies of that book. I can't imagine how high the list must be to order that many...

                    No doubt. My husband thinks he's funny and pretends he can't read so he'll say "I can't read but I know those squiggles are words." He'll be 47 in June. Kinda sad if you ask me.
