  • He didn't need his meds that bad after all

I got a customer that at first glance appeared to be mellow but turned into a raving lunatic within seconds. He got in my line & I rang up his stuff. ONE of the things that he bought were prescription medicine. Keep that in mind.
He wanted to pay by check so he gives me the check & it's NOT filled out. No big deal cause the registers print out your check if you want. So then I ask for his ID & he hands that to me. Then I notice that the name on the check is NOT the same name on the ID. I point this out to me & he says..."The check belongs to my son, & the ID is mine". I said..."I'm sorry but he would have to here to use the check." He said..."That's bullshit! I'm buying medicine for my son & he really needs it!" I said..."I'm sorry but I can't process it. I can get a CSM & they'll tell you the same thing." He said.."You do that! Get a manager up here now!"
So the CSM comes up & I tell her what's going on & she tells him what I just told him. He says..."But it's my son's check & he's really sick. You HAVE TO approve it!" She says.."I'm sorry but that's store policy that the name on the check must match the name on the ID." Then he says...."FINE THEN! You can keep this shit!" So he walks right out of the store & me & the CSM look at each other in shock.
The next customer in line had watched the entire thing & she says.."why didn't he just pay with cash or a credit card if he really needed the medicine that bad?"

Oh boohoo my son is so sick... but keep the medicine if you won't let me pay with someone else's check!
Thinning out the herd from within, I see.
Now would be a good time to visit So Very Unofficial!

      Stolen cheque. Narcotics prescription.
      Just a guess.

If you have to ask, it's probably better posted at www.fratching.com

Because that, my friend, that would be the logical thing to do . . .
This area is left blank for a reason.

And I feel lucky that my pharmacy will let my husband pick up my vicodin scripts. Being my 4th husband, I did not change my name this time, rather I kept my maiden name to which I reverted after divorce #3.

Usually, if I send him, I'll also send him with my DL and my military ID that shows me as his dependent. I really think we don't get hassled about it because we live in a fairly small town and don't really have the Rx abusers out here quite as badly as in the bigger cities...yet.
Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not ok, it's not the end.

That's bullshit an old-experienced guy like me can use my son's cheque and get pissed at the staff because it's their fault that I can't use this payment.

Dude.. You act like you are stealing the Checkbooks!!!
