I only went to one of those things once, when I was a kid in the 1970s, so I didn't exactly get to appreciate much in the way of costumed women. They did have cinammon popcorn though (which doesn't come from medieval times, but meh).

On the OP: Sounds like you are talking about Koroneberg Faire. Been a while since we've been to that one, most of our energy goes to Escondido and The Dam (the Original) Faire.

To everyone else: if you want to find a ren faire near you, I would recommend (unless deemed inappropriate by the moderators) that you check out www.faires.com for a near-complete world-wide listing of ren faires and ren-like faires.

Not the first time I've heard of such a thing. I don't know if it's ignorance or wanting to show off, but so many faire newbies think that a faux fur bikini or attire like that little girl is "renaissance".

At the Maryland Ren Fest there are/were (it's been a few years) a pair of twins that wore fur bikinis. They were more modestly dressed than that iconic Raquel Welch poster of her in "One Million BC".

This person sounds like the "Skank Whore Monthly" Mrs. October centerfold.
