It's what Lou Piniella (now manager of the Cubs) does when he's mad at the umpires.
Ah, yes! Lou's many, famous, tantrums!

skeptic, I'm sure you saw the photo, several years ago, in the Seattle Times, I believe, where it's very obvious Lou is saying "FFFFFFFF***!!"

Me: "That comes to $216 and we'll take about a week with express shipping."
SC: "What? But the sub-total when I add it up on your website is only $178!"
Me: "Yes, sub total. That's before tax and shipping."
      SC: "….oh"
I swear, they put poor reps like you and I in some kind of Retard Queue. I get so many of the kinds of calls you do. One of my old lead reps commented one time on how she always enjoys listening to my calls because I get the most off-the-wall people on my line every day.

I actually had a customer escalate over this same thing once. I told her the price of a phone was going to be $49.99 with a contract. She agreed to the contract, we set up shipping, everything was just peachy until I went over the order confirmation and told her it would be $57 (or thereabouts). Then she starts screaming about false advertising, that I was misleading her, and that I was misrepresenting her (I sure was. I was assuming she was a logical person). I let her know that I had quoted her the price before tax (just like everywhere on the planet), but she said I should have told her the post-tax price to begin with. Sure, cause I know the state and county sales tax rate for everywhere in the US off the top of my head. Then she wanted me to waive the tax since I hadn't advised her of it when I quoted the price. I let her know that this was illegal, and that I don't like sales tax either, but I pay it too. She wound up speaking to a sup, who basically told her she was a moron and ordered it for her tax included.

Though it may be a bit of shock-a man using the correct anatomical term and all-I don't see why you couldn't use the word regardless of the sex of the client. We have one, so we wouldn't get confused, and guys all want to get in one, so they're paying attention...

Good sir, I do believe you may have killed two birds with one stone, so to speak.
I'm going to agree with this one. If I ever heard a guy call it by the textbook name and not one of the various slang terms, I would most certainly be shocked into attention.

Ugh, sales tax! Nearly every day I have at least one caller who is 'shocked, absolutely shocked!' that we are charging sales tax. I had one recently also who claimed "false advertising" because the price quoted was before shipping and tax, and he cancelled his order.

. . . "Extra Large" and "Pink Camo" are two things that should not be combined in the same sentence unless the term "not", "never" or "Oh please Jesus no don't wear that" is also present.
We sell XL Pink Camo at my store. Gives ya an idea of the kind of customers we attract!
