    Definitely a bad idea to grab anyone in public, particularly someone you don't know. Anyone who's tried that with me tends to get lucky if they're just kicked, usually before I've even woken up to the situation. My mother is a paranoid New Yorker, so taught us to pummel the heck out of anything that touches us unawares. And even if it wasn't someone aggressive, what if you had a covered up injury?
