Just a refresher, I work in a porn store. You have to be 18 years old to come in. For some people, they think babies are an exception. NO they aren't! People think that oh hey, a baby won't remember anything. You know what? It doesn't matter, if you aren't 18 years old or older you are not allowed in our store at all. We can be fined.
I was talking to a customer about lubes when my store manager started to call for me. At first I kind of ignored it since I was trying to make a sale and just thought that she wanted to see where I was.
I was vaguely told about some lady who was in the doorway with her baby. Now I thought I was just supposed to make sure she didn't come in while waiting for a friend to finish shopping.
Again, no. I was wrong.
SC: "I wanted to buy some panties."
Me: (still confused) You want me to hold your baby?
SC: "Yes." *proceeds to hand over baby who is crying and screaming.
Now I've held babies quite a few times but when they're screaming and squirimg like this lil guy was, I panic a little like I'm doing something wrong. He keeps squirming and fidgeting but I keep adjusting him in my arms so I don't drop him or something. I try talking in a soothing voice and smile. Finally the kid calms down and just stares at me, so I start rocking him tell his mom getz back. And low and behold! Not a damn thing in her hands, apparently we didn't have the right panties.
Afterwards, I talk to my manager and say how baffled I was. She proceeded to tell me that the lady refused to accept the fact that she couldn't bring a baby in. She even tried running pass the manager. WTF?
The lady was going to like leave the kid in the doorway, which M wasn't going to let happen. SC instisted that we should watch the kid. (Uh, not our job?!) M was with a customer already so she grabbed me to take care of this.
Totally bizarre! But cute kid, I'm glad he calmed down.
