  • Circles....he's got me going round in circles...again.

SC: So, I need one of your designs, and have a question

    Seraph: Shoot!

SC: Does your design come with a script

Seraph: I'm sorry, no...it states that on my site

SC: Yeah, I saw that, figured I'd ask. So are you saying I need to buy <script>, and that's an additional cost?

Seraph: Well, its not really an additional cost, per say....its *required* in the first place to run one of these sites. So....my designs would actually be the additional cost. Not the script.

SC: So you're saying, it's an additional cost.

    Seraph: My designs are, yes?

SC: So you don't include a script, and its additional to integrate the script onto your design?

Seraph: See, that's a bit backwards...you're actually putting my design onto the script.

SC: So its an additional cost?

    Seraph: ...can you please clarify?

SC: The script is an additional cost.

Seraph: Its a BASE COST. You absolutely cannot run a website without it. My designs would be an additional cost.

SC: You're telling me the script's an additional cost then.

    Seraph: No, its required

    SC: So its additional.

    Seraph: ....yes. yes it is.

    SC: Thanks much then!

    ...yeah, I gave up.

If I understand this correctly, the guy was basically doing the equivalent of if I were to ask an architect if the land I was going to build his building design on came at an extra cost?
Fiancee: We're going to need to do laundry. I'm out of clean pants.
Me: Sounds like a job for Gravekeeper!
    Fiancee: What?!
    Me: Nevermind.

Don't be. Shocking as it might be, I don't find that particular series that funny.

Besides, if you're gonna make a reference, go old school.

This is more old school than Homestar, but less old school than Jay's.

The problem is that to an awful lot of people, the UI (user interface) IS the program - or the website.

All they want is the swan swimming gracefully over the water, not the furious paddling. But they DO want the swan to move! :wry:

                          1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
                          2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
                          3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
                          4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.

Mine is so old school that it's actually on a Betamax tape, and therefore cannot be linked to.

Oh, now that's just a big fat lie.
