Okay, seriously -
If it snows where you live, you should be cleaning off your darn car before you start driving it anywhere. Especially when it's illegal in the state you live it to NOT DO SO. Yes, it is illegal in Massachusetts to not fully clean off your car. That means you can't just sweep off your windows and leave nearly half a foot of snow on the roof/hood/ass end of your car.
Yet people will only clean off their windows, drive to our parking lot, then clean off the rest of the snow in our parking lot. Double douche points to the people who sweep it off onto the sidewalk that we just shoveled.
In case you're curious, no, we don't get plowed out for free. The owner (my awesome boss) either needs to hand out money to someone else, or do it himself. He does it himself. It's so damn rude to sweep off your snow on our parking lot that the owner has to then plow out or one of us has to then shovel out in order to be within the law of having a clear and safe sidewalk/lot.
So the first couple of people who did this, the boss wasn't there yet... then he came to plow out the lot... and someone decided to do this right in front of them.
I don't know what he was saying to the guy, but I can guess it went something like this;
Boss: Hey. Do you want to plow out my parking lot?
Guy: Huh? What do you mean?
Boss: I have to pay, or plow out my lot myself, and here you are, sweeping off a chunk of snow off your car that should've been cleaned off in your drive way. So instead of inconveniencing yourself, you decided to inconvenience me!
Guy: Well I'm going to buy GAS. I'm paying you!
Boss: Great, you're buying the one item I sell that I get the lowest profit on. Thanks for the couple of cents.
Guy: Well fine I'll go somewhere else.
Boss: Thank you! Bye!
Because that's how it went the last time!
Also, cool people:
Two different guys, at two different times, as they came in, noticed we had a shovel sitting next to the door and our walk was a little snowed over because it was snowing hard and constantly. Without being asked, they grabbed the shovel and shoveled off our walk for us. THANK YOU TWO AWESOME GUYS!
Also thank you to the brave ass truck drivers for coming in through the horrid weather to deliver to us gas and our soda deliveries. You guys are also awesome.
