  • Links are too hard!

    Just got the first "fun" (note the sarcasim) caller of the day.

    Me= The Lobo

    LC= Lazy Caller

    LC- I need help with linking to one of my catalog items, can you tell me what the link is. *spouts off the name of the item*

    Me- Sure, it's catalog_i579199.html?catId=23621. The catalog_ designates the page, the i579199 is the

    LC- *cutting me off* That link's too long.

    Me- *resisting the urge to verbally smack the caller* I know, it's a long link but

    LC- *cutting me off again* Can I just link to my catalog page? This really is alot of work!

    Me- *giving his website the finger* Sure, just use catalog.html as your link.

    LC- Cool, thanks!

    Me- No problem. *after the caller hangs up I check the link* Catelogue@html. Beautiful, he can't even spell what he's working on.
    I can't decide who's dumber: my customers for their questions or me for willfully listening to their questions.

    Over here, it would be 'catalogue', but even that's incorrect. Ouch.

      I know, we've got callers who use that spelling and that's cool with the software but some people are just bent on using their own spelling and that's not. It's like my three year old neice trying to read War And Peace. It's unique but not really accomplishing much.

        You should have just made him click on the "Get Fragged" link, Lobo.

          Somehow I get the feeling the Bastich would have been too blind to read "Fragged". Hn, gives me a good idea for how to deliever a paramilitary christmas to him though. Thanks!
