  • Busy, or Not Busy?

Do you prefer to be busy--calls coming in one right after the other--or not busy--breaks between calls?
I prefer it when we're not so busy. More of a breather. Plus, I notice that customers are suckier when they've been put on hold for awhile. ("D...it, I had to wait thirty minutes before you came on!)

There is no yes / no answer to this. I like being busy to the day goes by quickly but sometimes I need time to get things done.

Personally, I prefer it slow. Slow means there are no problems, and while that means I have very little to do during my night, it also means I don't have to decrypt cryptic, mis-understood error messages as related from a PC to three different computer-illiterate individuals before it gets to me (usually as something as useless as "Sam is Blue")

Plus, I can find things to keep myself busy.

If you are inundated with all stupid requests than it sucks. Yes it is printing, to the printer in room XXX which is why it says "XXXBWLaser." Go their to find it. Whats that you want it to print to the printer in you office? Then select "YYYBWlaser."

I like a slow pace but of problems that actually require a little of though and research until you can solve it.

If I have projects or other things (like reading this board) to occupy my time, then I don't mind slow. If it's busy enough that the night is flying by, then I don't mind that either. But when you've read everything on the internet that you've got access to (and have an interest to read) and you're bored out of your mind, that sucks. When you're getting slammed all night be idiots both in and out of your office, that REALLY sucks.
