My bf just IM'd me asking how to do file transfers between 2 vista machines on the same network.

He didn't even use Help or Google or anything else, he wanted me to type it out for him.

What's worse is that I wrote out - plug lappy into router, and he asks HOW.

Its exactly the same as moving any files within the computer. Its just that the folder is on the intranet instead.

meh, I find it easier to just use FTP sometimes (assuming they both get internet and thus have IP addresses) then mess with Windows Networking Protocol.
