  • Book of Faces is being a PITA again

I can't access my own "front page."
    Nor can I load messages.

I've tried refreshing and rebooting; no luck.

    Anybody got any suggestions?

The rest of the site works just fine; I can get to my groups, post and respond; I'm assuming I can get to my (few) games but haven't tried yet.

Additional comment: I poked around a bit and tried to send them details about the problems. THAT didn't go through either. Tried sending it through twice; both times I got a message that it couldn't be sent.

I've got a Mac Mini; a quick checkup says it's up-to-date, as is my Firefox. Is it possible that Facebook itself needs to be updated?

What kind of controversial comment did you post that they locked you out? Maybe this is a sign from God that you should abandon social media?

Are you using an app or a browser? Have you tried from a cell phone?

Try logging out of Facebook and back in again. If you are using a browser, clear your cookies and cache (you WILL need to login then).

Are you using anything like FB Purity to make it work "nicer"? As a website, nothing about how your system's organised will affect it other than something like a browser plugin, so whether your computer's up to date or running 10 year old software makes no difference.

Firefox does have a built-in plugin for Facebook to keep it sandboxed, if that isn't enabled thet try enabling it or vice versa.

        Controversial comment? MOI??

Actually if there's one thing Facebook *has* taught me, it's how to be rude with such care that my comment doesn't get the algorithm in a snit.

I thought I might have solved the problem by clearing Firefox's data and that worked ... briefly. Now I'm having trouble accessing the messages again.

I wanted to try logging out of FB and logging back in, but it wouldn't let me do that either.
Might have to do some more clearing .....
